Made in France by luxury furniture maker, Starbay, this table sold for over $3800 Euros. Near new condition, it has been lovingly cared for. Great flexible design. This trunk is one of the finest examples of faux finishing that was done at the time... circa 1870. Finished to look like burl walnut, the trunk is actually pine. The grape pattern on front is highly unusual for the time period, and show the skill of the faux finisher. The trunk has hand cut dovetail joinery, original strap hingers, and single board sides and top. Measures 37" long, 21" wide, and 17" high.
This is truly a beauty, handcut dovetailing, strap hinges, and original interior compartments. The pine has aged to perfect patina. This is a lovely heirloom place. Measures 39 1/2" long, 19 1/2" deep and 19" high.
